The Night Walk funds lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Friends,
families and co-workers form fundraising teams and millions of consumers help by donating
at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in
over two hundred communities each fall across North America. Anyone can take part -
children, adults and seniors are all welcome. This is a casual fundraising walk with no
fitness requirements. There are many ways you can help. You can register to walk
individually or, even better, as part of a team; make a donation online; or become a
volunteer or sponsor/partner. Funds raised through Light The Night Walk support the work
of hundreds of the world's best and brightest researchers in their search for better
therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Looking for the full Halloween experience at Pumpkinville this year? The Town is letting
all the ghosts and ghouls of Ajax know that the thrills and chills start with the spooky
Pumpkinville Express the free direct shuttle to Greenwood Conservation Park. The
fun continues there, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011, where people of
all ages can enjoy a full day of free activities. Some activities include: A haunted
house, spooky science experiments, horse-drawn wagon rides, inflatable rides, face
painting, petting zoo, pumpkin carving contest, and crafts stations. Drivers should be
warned: Parking is very limited and not guaranteed. Cars will all enter and exit along the
same route, so drivers must be prepared to encounter lengthy wait times getting into and
out of the park. There is no admission for this event and only nominal fees for food, and
beverages.

Equipment should be no more than five (5) years old and subject to a safety inspection. Public registration is a service for the general public. Bring your used equipment to the swap, Friday and Saturday Only, You decide on the price, There is a registration fee of $1.00 per item. Maximum of $5.00 per person consigning items for the Swap, Canadian Ski Patrol will do the rest. Canadian Ski Patrol will place your equipment on the swap floor for the public to view. If someone purchases it, Canadian Ski Patrol will handle the sales transaction for you. A 19% commission will be retained on all sold items. |

Enjoy the best undeveloped stretch of waterfront trail along Lake Ontario by participating
in the Town of Ajaxs annual Half Marathon (21.1km) at Rotary Park.
Open to residents and visitors, Run Ajax winds through neighbourhoods and along the
Towns picturesque waterfront. Often referred to as the "jewel of the
south", the waterfront is used by residents and visitors who come to enjoy the views,
engage in recreational activities, and utilize the multi-use trail for walking, jogging,
cycling and inline skating.
