TD RINK at the BRINK

Niagara Falls New Year's Eve Bash

Welcome in the New Year 2010 in Niagara Falls by celebrating New Year's Eve with a
televised Outdoor Concert Extravaganza in Queen Victoria Park Niagara Falls. The 08/09
Party in the Park brought top entertainers such as former Supertramp singer Roger Hodgson,
Kim Mitchell and Justin Hines onto the Queen Victoria Park concert stage. To help usher in
the new year 2010 Canadian talent DAME will take the stage. New Year's Eve fireworks in
Niagara Falls are scheduled for 9:00 pm and midnight. Enjoy the outdoor licensed area
along with food and beverage vendors. Fireworks are weather permitting. Live television
coverage runs from 11pm to 12:30am.

The Super Cities WALK for MS is the MS Societys largest pledge-based fundraising
event with over 70,000 participants and volunteers taking part in 160 locations across

of fundraising events because there is always a wheel-chair accessible route. Its an
important consideration especially for those who have multiple sclerosis. Common symptoms
of MS include numbness, extreme fatigue and loss of balance. |

Celebrating their new Canadian Citizenship! New Canadians will be taking their Canadian
Citizenship Oath at Optimist Youth Park after the Parade.
Following the Parade at Optimist Youth Park: At 11:30am, Opening Ceremonies begin on the
Main Stage. Come and sing the Canadian National Anthem and enjoy presentations to the Good
Canadian Citizen Award recipients and other award recipients. Throughout the afternoon,
enjoy non-stop entertainment at any of the three outdoor stages and one indoor stage!

The Chocolate Race

Imagine running along the roads in a quaint sleepy town, your senses enlivened by the
gentle caress of the warm winds blowing off the water and the sweet smell of chocolate
wafting in the distance. Part race, part festival, this is anything but a traditional
race. Nearly six hundred chocolate loving runners stormed the picturesque streets of Port
Dalhousie for the inaugural event in 2009. The 2010 event will be very similar with a few
sweet changes. We've created two "short courses" in addition to the half
marathon to ensure that chocolate lovers of all athletic abilities will be able to
participate. Best of all, our creative team is putting together a chocolate program to
tantalize your senses! Come to Niagara for the race and be prepared to stay all weekend
for the chocolate festivities. And we're TERRIBLY sorry, but we can't reveal ANY of the
decadent details until February!

Winter Festival of Lights
Enjoy spectacular illuminations and countless festive events at the Niagara Falls Winter
Festival of Lights, Canada's foremost illumination festival. We're ready to shine with
over 3 million sparkling lights and more than 120 animated displays, including the famous
Enchantment of Disney® displays. From the world's largest illuminated Canadian-American
Flag display and spectacular LED tree lighting to Canada's largest, illuminated Menorah
display and an angelic Nativity Scene, visitors will enjoy many wondrous displays along
the 5 km Niagara Parks' Winter Wonderland lighting route and throughout the City. The
illuminations are illuminated from 5:00 pm to midnight. There is no admission fee to enjoy
them but donations are gratefully accepted with all proceeds used to enhance the lights
and displays (a $10 per vehicle donation is suggested). Enjoy brilliant fireworks and a
calendar full of festive events as we capture the magic of the holiday season.

Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake - Taste the Season 2012
Dont miss out as the 26 Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake get set for another wine and
food extravaganza. Hailed as the go to event of the season, this popular
touring and tasting program showcases the unique VQA wines and Niagara-on-the-Lake Wine
Country cuisine available in the region. It is also a great time to explore the different
wine and gift selections available at each winery and stock up your holiday entertaining.
Spend a weekend touring our 26 wineries where each stop will feature a premium VQA wine
and delectable food pairing.
As stewards of the land from which we craft our wines, the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake
are partnering with Carbonzero in the efforts of making Taste the Season a carbon neutral
event. A portion of each touring pass sale will be directed towards the purchase of Carbon
Offsets in support of Niagara East Landfill Gas Utilization Project. Carbon Offsets are
verified reductions of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, designed to help minimize climate
change by offsetting an emissions-producing activity. Offset purchasers like Wineries of
Niagara-on-the-Lake, take responsibility for the emissions they are unable to reduce by
investing in GHG reductions elsewhere.
The Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake encourage you to taste and tour responsibly. Please
designate a driver who wont be drinking, or take advantage of special offers from
our transportation partners for worry free touring.

Join us for the 20th annual “Tree of Lights” Celebration in Thorold on Wednesday, November 16th. The official tree lighting ceremony begins at 5:00pm at the Thorold Fire Hall on Towpath Road. Join us for entertainment, hot chocolate, cookies, and even a visit from Santa Claus. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will be directed toward equipment purchases for the Maternal Child Department at the SCGH site. 2013 Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade
10:45 AM Victoria Avenue at Armoury Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario
The Pre-parade will begin at 10:45am featuring entries such as the Dreams Take Flight Mascots and Project S.H.A.R.E. who will be collecting food donations, as well as Canada Post who will be collecting all of the letters to Santa! Don`t forget to include your return address so Santa can answer your letters!
Following the Pre-Parade will be the Official Parade which will begin at 11:00am. The parade begins at Victoria Avenue and Armoury Street and travels north on Victoria Avenue to Valley Way, turning east (right) on Valley Way and then east (right) on to Queen Street, ending at City Hall.
Come and ring in the holiday season! This year`s Parade will feature many exciting bands, beautiful new floats, a few surprises and more! Santa Claus will be the Grand Finale!

Annual CYTEC Candy Cane Lane 5k Race & Fun Run
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Best Western Plus Cairn Croft, Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada
Run, walk, sled or ski! It-`s all for a good time and a great cause. Join runners from across the Niagara Region, the GTA and Western New York as they compete to become the overall Top Male and Top Female 5k Runners, and claim their cash prize while the top three male and female finishers in 10+ age groups are awarded medals. Fun Runners are encouraged to participate in a non-competitive fashion and use creative ways to make the Run fun, i.e. costumes, team themes, etc. Fun Runners may walk (even with baby strollers), sled or ski if they chose, with the ultimate goal being to have fun while enjoying an outdoor physical activity.

Thorold Annual Santa Claus Parade
Sullivan Ave to Front St., Thorold
Join us for the annual Santa Claus Parade in historic Downtown Thorold. Parade starts at the corner of Sullivan Ave. and Front St. Come and be wowed by Thorold’s very own Festival of Lights, floats, marching units, great entertainment and, of course, Old Saint Nick himself! Don’t forget your letters for Santa, canned goods, toys and mittens for the Mitten Tree.
