Balls Falls Thanksgiving Festival Craft Show & Sale
Balls Falls Conservation Area, Jordan
More than 140 artisans and crafters will be featured, as well as daily live entertainment,
childrens attractions and entertainers, heritage activities and tours and of course
Balls Falls itself. Enjoy woodworking demonstrations using the tools and
craftpersonship of a by gone era, Niagara Antique Power Association displays and items of
interest, Birds of Prey exhibit, pony rides and more. When you want to take a break from
festival shopping, tour the quaint and historic grounds of Balls Falls and enjoy the
fabulous scenery awash with fall colour. |

Vineland Thanksgiving Artfest
Vineland Public School, 4057 Victoria Avenue, Vineland
The Vineland Thanksgiving Artfest was started in 1992 as a Fundraiser for Vineland Public
School. We are a juried show with no more than 130 exhibitors. One third of our show
consists of Fine Art, and the balance quality crafts. The Vineland Thanksgiving Artfest
has been very successful due to our high standards of quality. Return of our regular
exhibitors is approximately 80%. Vineland Thanksgiving Artfest does NOT charge admission
and exhibitors display and exhibit on the perimeter of the property only. The grounds are
an open and beautifully treed park-like setting.
Outdoors "Rain or Shine".
Hours are from 10 am to 5 pm daily.

Winter Festival of Lights
Enjoy spectacular illuminations and countless festive events at the Niagara Falls Winter
Festival of Lights, Canada's foremost illumination festival. We're ready to shine with
over 3 million sparkling lights and more than 120 animated displays, including the famous
Enchantment of Disney® displays. From the world's largest illuminated Canadian-American
Flag display and spectacular LED tree lighting to Canada's largest, illuminated Menorah
display and an angelic Nativity Scene, visitors will enjoy many wondrous displays along
the 5 km Niagara Parks' Winter Wonderland lighting route and throughout the City. The
illuminations are illuminated from 5:00 pm to midnight. There is no admission fee to enjoy
them but donations are gratefully accepted with all proceeds used to enhance the lights
and displays (a $10 per vehicle donation is suggested). Enjoy brilliant fireworks and a
calendar full of festive events as we capture the magic of the holiday season.

Fleece and Fibrefest
Silmaril Farm, 144 Russ Road, Grimsby
Fleece and Fibrefest invites you and your family to our unique gathering of regional fibre
producers and artisans. Our event will showcase shearing demonstrations, which will be
complemented by spinning and weaving exhibits. An interesting variety of fibre producing
animals on display includes alpacas, angora goats (mohair) cashmere goats, angora rabbits
and fine fleece sheep.
Chat with the owners to learn more about the care and management of the various animals
then stroll down to the display barns to interact with the friendly animals. Local spinner
and weaver guilds will be available to show you how they transform the raw fibre into
beautiful, soft garments. Educations displays and a Fibre-craft Marketplace will help
complete your journey into the natural world of fleece and fibres!
The one-day event is free to the public. The event will be held on Sunday May 29thfrom

Springlicious 2012 Beer Wine and Food Expo

Springlicious is back in 2012 for the 5th year in a row! Niagara's annual food, beer
and wine festival is taking place in downtown Niagara
Falls historic Queen Street Arts & Entertainment district, this expo will feature top
class music, culture, and entertainment for the whole family as well as food and drink
from local producers, wineries and micro-breweries. The street will be closed to traffic
with vendors exhibiting from end to end, and stages for music and entertainment in front
of Taps Brewery and City Hall. Organized by Celebrate Old Downtown, last year
Springlicious attracted over 30,000 happy people to the street and they're confident they
can top that this time round.
Springlicious will be not only bringing great food and wine tasting opportunities but
entertainment and competitions will be held over the weekend. |

windows, Industrial Age factories, municipal buildings, museums, schoolhouses, and sites
that played a role in the Underground Railroad. A wide variety of architectural styles are
represented including 18th and early 19th century stone and log structures, homes and
buildings crafted in the Victorian, Neo-Classical, Art Deco, Italianate and Greek Revival
styles, and churches of Romanesque and Gothic Revival design. Many of the sites in both
the U.S. and Canada are registered as National Historic landmarks and others played
important roles in the history of both countries.

Teams of "Ribbers" from the United States and
Canada will set up their booths, BBQ and serve up a load of some of the best award winning
ribs found on either side of the border. The competition is fierce, these great tasting
BBQ Ribs are competing to win trophies and top honours. Truly a family event, there is
something for everyone - Great barbequed ribs with all the fixings, with some Ribbers
cooking up succulent chicken. Music, fun and entertainment and for the kids - a playground
with inflated bouncers, Jurassic Adventure playground and giant 24 foot slide.
What goes better with ribs than beer? Our large tent, sponsored by Molson's fine brews
will be open Friday, from noon to 11:00 pm Saturday from Noon to 11:00 pm, and Sunday from

Berries & Blooms Festival
Beamsville District Secondary School
BIG, RED, RIPE, JUICY STRAWBERRIES, a sunny day in June, hundreds of families enjoying the
great outdoors with terrific entertainment, arts and crafts, and delicious food! Where can
you experience this wonderful annual family event? At the Beamsville Fairgrounds for the
36th edition of the Beamsville Strawberry Festival of course!
The Festival Committee is working on the presentation of a one day event for the families
of Beamsville and its surrounding areas. And, as always, there is free admission, free
parking and free entertainment. The Annual Charity Bed Race takes place in front of the
Grandstand at the Fairgrounds. The runners are cheered on as their teams dash to the
finish line pushing decorated beds on wheels. Between heats we run the La-Z-Boy Grand
Nationals Recliner Race. Two runners are pushing a rider, strapped into a La-Z-Boy,
towards the finish line. A sight to be seen as some of the teams dress up in costumes to
add to the fun! Food will be available so come early, grab some dinner, and pick the best
seat in the house for the evening.
The Fairgrounds is bustling all day long with the arrival of approximately 100 vendors
including crafters, peddlers, business and community displays along with a myriad of
activities for the entire family. The Strawberry Idol Contest will return while other
attractions are still being organized. Ya' just never know what we might come up with!
We're certainly hoping to be able to bring back the Pyromusical from Canadian Champion
Mike Bohonos and Garden City Display Fireworks.

Niagara International Chamber Music Festival

This summer's season is among the most diverse we have presented. It commemorates three
important musical anniversaries: Franz Joseph Haydn who died in 1809, Felix Mendelssohn
who was born that same year and Benny Goodman who was born in 1909. There will be opera
and Nova Scotia Celtic music, opera and cabaret, along with our more traditional classical
repertoire.
Favourite series such as Shaw and Music, Great Pianists, Showcase of Young Virtuosos and
Music and Wine will continue, and there will lots more jazz. This is to celebrate
Niagara-on-the-Lake's recent designation as the home of the Canadian Jazz Hall of Fame. We
are proud to have one of the great jazz pianists and composers, legendary Dick Hyman,
performing for the first time with the festival.

International Busker Festival
James Street, St Catharines
Street performing or busking is the practice of performing in public places for money.
The St Catharines International Busker Festival, made possible by a partnership between
Lyndesfarne Theatre Projects and the City of St Catharines, will mark the first of its
kind in the Niagara Peninsula. This free and fun for all ages Festival will run along
James Street from St Paul St to City Hall. The area will also include Market Square, the
parking lot and the Old Courthouse, the Public Library Courtyard, and the Sullivan Mahoney
Court House Theatre.
